There’s a Cow in my Tree!
Bernard Epps was an extremely versatile writer and artist. His daughter, Jennifer Epps, recalls that he “used to go away on drafting jobs in cities, work overtime, and save up the money to come back and write.” His dexterous drawings and supple wit found expression in cartoons. Here is one he published in the Townships Sun of September 1977, an adaptation of a picture book he created for Jennifer.
