That Fellow Epps!

The September issue of the Townships Sun is out, featuring the legacy of Bernard Epps, writer of Townships stories.

Bernie was the larger-than-life writer and editor of the Townships Sun during the 1970s, 80s, and 90s.This special edition looks at his writing career, his quirky humour, and his many contributions to the culture and history of the Eastern Townships English-speaking community.

The September Townships Sun also forecasts the upcoming publication of The Eastern Townships Adventure, two volumes of the history of the Eastern Townships. How did the region originate? What happened to the Abenaki who lived here? Who came, and from where, to conquer it and settle the land?

Well, first let’s hear where Bernie Epps came from, and what he did while he lived here for almost half a century!

  1. I was wondering why you are re-printing vol 1 of “The Eastern Townships Adventure” when it is apparently available from the original publisher (see https://www.tomifobia.com/books.html ) . On the other hand, I’ve been on the lookout for “Tales of the Townships” (you were the publishers of the first edition) for quite some time…
